Lemnos is the island's name since Homer's time. The poet, Homer, gave to the island also the name Anemoessa, which means an island where many winds blow. A famous place for surfing and kite surfing is Keros on the east side of Lemnos. Keros offers a steady wind from morning to afternoon. There are 3 windsurfing and kite surfing clubs, 10' away from our hotel, where equipment can be rented or bought. They also offer storing solutions which allow you to store your equipment and not have to carry it with you every day.
